Split and Tab Panels

Designer uses panels to organize various areas of the application. The advantages are numerous. It allows for customization of the working area. It saves space and removes the clutter.

Split panels

There are 3 split panels:

Structure panel  Structure Palette panel  Palette Properties panel  Properties

A split panel displays two components, either side by side or one on top of the other. By dragging the divider ( ) or ( ) that appears between the components, you can specify how much of the split panel's total area goes to each component.

By default, the Tab panels are shown at the bottom section of ProtoLoop. To hide them, simply select the Collapse button () on the toolbar. If you want to display them again, select the Expand button () on the toolbar. Pressing the Expand button a second time will cause the whole tabbed pane to use the whole work area.
To clickly expands a tab, double click on the tab title or press Alt+plus sign. When fully expand, double click on the tab title or press Alt+minus sign to restore it to it previous dimension.
